Files and results

Handing over data

Press Upload file or drag the file straight into the chat: a spreadsheet, document, PDF, photo or screenshot. A link to a cloud spreadsheet also works if link access is open.

Exports as files, short fragments as text

Pasted text is not truncated: it goes through whole, and a long paste collapses into a chip above the input box. The difference is elsewhere — a file lands in the working environment and the agent computes over it in code, every row, a hundred thousand of them if need be. A pasted table stays text in the conversation, and copying out of Excel loses sheets, formulas and cell formats. A dozen rows, an email, a clause of a contract — paste away; an export of thousands of rows belongs in a file.

If there are several files, attach them together and say what to match against what: "the first file has vehicles by status, the second has them in service — find the discrepancies".

What comes back

The agent replies in the chat and hands over a finished document:

  • a spreadsheet — calculations, reconciliations, line-by-line exports;
  • a document — report, contract, letter, instruction;
  • a deck — when the result has to be presented;
  • a short message — text ready to send to a client or into a messenger.

Name the format in the request and the agent assembles the right thing at once instead of redoing it. See How to phrase a task.

Editing the finished file

You can edit a delivered file with words, without restating the task: "keep only the overdue ones", "add a cost column", "drop the intermediate sheets". No need to download, edit and upload it back.
