AI for accountants: what it already does in 1C, the bank and e-documents, and what not to hand to it
A chat model and the 1C:ITS consultant answer questions but cannot see your books. An agent with access to 1C, the bank and e-document exchange does the work itself: reconciles the statement with the ledger, finds duplicate payments, builds reconciliation acts and a payment calendar, tracks tax authority demands in Kontur.Extern. We walk through an accountant's month task by task, what not to hand to AI, how to give access to 1C safely, and where to start.

"AI for accountants" covers three different tools. A chat model will explain a rule and draft a letter, but it cannot see your books. The 1C:ITS consultant answers from the knowledge base, but it does not open your database either. An agent with access to 1C, the bank and e-document exchange does the work itself: it reconciles the bank statement with the ledger, finds duplicate payments, and builds the reconciliation act.
Below: how they differ, which tasks the agent already takes on, what you should not hand to it, and how to check that it got things right.
Three kinds of AI for accountants
| Chat model | 1C:ITS consultant | Agent with system access | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Examples | ChatGPT, GigaChat, Alice | The 1C:ITS consultant bot | An agent connected to 1C, the bank, Diadoc, SBIS |
| Sees your books | No | No | Yes, within the rights you grant |
| What it does | Explains, writes text, reads a file you upload | Answers questions about accounting and the software | Reconciles, finds discrepancies, prepares documents and letters |
| Main risk | A confidently invented rule | A generic answer, not about your case | A wrong conclusion drawn from incomplete data |
| Price | Free or a subscription | Included in ITS PROF, or about 1,400 ₽ a month on its own | Subscription or pay-as-you-go |
A chat model is good for general questions: how to record compensation for a late salary, how to reply politely to a supplier. But check any rule it quotes. The model can cite a clause that does not exist, and it will sound just as sure as when citing a real one. We explained why in our article on AI hallucinations.
The 1C:ITS consultant bot answers questions about accounting and working in the software, with links to ITS materials. It beats searching the reference manual. But it cannot tell you why account 51 does not balance in your books: it cannot see them.
1C:Naparnik is a separate case. People often mention it when talking about AI in 1C, but it is an assistant for programmers: it writes configuration code, it does not post documents.
The first two tools answer a question. The agent does the task. The rest of this article is about the agent.
What the agent already does
These are real tasks the agent performs on data from 1C, the bank and e-document exchange. The figures in the examples are illustrative, the shape of the result is real.
Every day
Cash summary. Every morning the agent reads yesterday's transactions on your accounts and sends a message to Telegram.
Balance across accounts 3,240,000 ₽, +180,000 for the day. Unusual: 320,000 ₽ to Supplier B — first payment to this recipient.
Checking an invoice before payment. The invoice arrives in a chat, by email or as a photo. The agent checks the tax ID and bank account against the counterparty card in 1C, the price against the contract, the amount in figures against the amount in words, and whether the same invoice has already been paid.
The amount in words differs from the figures by 800 ₽. Too early to pay, confirm the amount first.
Every week
Incoming documents in Diadoc. The agent matches each document against the order and the contract in 1C.
34 incoming this week. Ready to post — 26, awaiting signature — 5. Do not match the order — 3: invoice No. 88 is priced 4% higher, act No. 12 shows 100 units instead of 90, invoice No. 51 has no order in 1C.
Tax authority demands and filings in Kontur.Extern. The agent collects demands across all your companies and shows which response deadline expires first. It also shows which reports were accepted, which were rejected and why, and whose signing certificate is about to expire.
For each demand the agent assembles the picture: what was requested, which documents already exist in the books, what is missing. A person signs and sends the response.
Overdue receivables. The agent takes shipments, payments and due dates from 1C and separates customers who have not paid for months from those who simply pay a week late. If a customer has no payment term set, the agent does not invent one, it says: "confirm this figure."
Payment calendar. The agent takes balances from the bank, lays out payments by day and finds the first day when money runs short.
On 18 April you will be 1,070,000 ₽ short. There is no gap if Romashka LLC pays its 1,200,000 on time.
Every month
Bank-to-ledger reconciliation. The agent matches transactions on amount, date and counterparty at once. A match on amount alone is not a match.
412 of 418 transactions reconciled. Six did not: 120,000 ₽ is in the bank but not in 1C; 45,000 ₽ is in 1C but not in the bank; an 18,500 ₽ payment differs by 500.
Duplicate payments. Especially useful when several people send invoices for payment.
Mailing service: 3,900 ₽ a month, paid for 14 months. Possible overpayment — 226,000 ₽.
Closing documents. The agent checks that every shipment has a document and sorts them into three groups: signed, sent but not signed, never arrived. It drafts letters to counterparties but does not send them.
Payment reminders. Letters go out on your template on the overdue days you set. If an act is in dispute, or a payment arrived but is not yet posted, the letter stays in drafts.
Cash flow statement. The agent splits payments into operating, investing and financing flows, removes transfers between your own accounts and checks the month-end balance against the bank. Leasing, a founder's loan and other ambiguous payments go into a separate list.
Profit by business line. Revenue and costs by division from 1C. If you have not said how to split rent and accounting costs, those amounts stay in an "unallocated" line.
Days to collect. How many days customers take to pay on average, by month and by counterparty. With a note wherever the data is too thin for conclusions.
Every quarter
Reconciliation acts in Diadoc and SBIS. The agent compares e-documents and 1C settlements line by line and explains the whole balance difference, down to the last line.
96 lines in the act, 91 match. No. 1042 is on our side but not theirs. No. 1077 was rejected. No. 1081 differs by 6,000.
Why you can trust the agent
Look at the examples again. Almost every one has a line where the agent says what it is unsure of: "confirm this", "needs your decision", "letters are in drafts". That is what separates a good assistant in accounting.
A wrong number stated with confidence is worse than no number. So the agent works by three rules:
- Every task has a control figure. Usually a balance that has to match the bank. If it matches, the amounts are right, and all that is left to check is where things were classified.
- Doubtful items are not guessed. A payment with an unclear purpose, a customer with no payment term, a line that matched only on amount — all go into a separate list for a person.
- Anything that leaves the company starts as a draft. The agent prepares letters, documents and responses to demands. A person sends and signs them.
What not to hand to AI
| Task | Why not | How the agent can help |
|---|---|---|
| Signing filings and documents | It is a legal act on behalf of the company | Prepare the package and show discrepancies before signing |
| Tax decisions | The company pays for mistakes: fines, additional assessments | Gather the facts and rules so a person decides |
| Interpreting a rule without a source | The model can cite a clause that does not exist | Answer only with a link that can be opened |
| Unchecked changes to the books | Fixing things retroactively costs more | Show what it will change and wait for confirmation |
| Payments | Money sent to the wrong party takes weeks to recover | Check the invoice and prepare the payment |
| Employees' personal data without a contract | Russia's personal data law (152-FZ) and fines for leaks | Work with it only if the vendor has signed a data processing agreement |
What to ask an AI vendor before giving it access to your data is in our checklist on data security and 152-FZ.
How to give the agent access to 1C without regret
An accountant's main fear: "what if it breaks something in the books." Three settings settle it.
- A separate user. The agent logs in under its own account, not the chief accountant's. Then the 1C log shows what it did.
- Read-only where writing is not needed. Reconciliations, reports, the calendar, receivables — all of that is reading. Write access is needed only when the agent creates documents.
- No changes to the configuration. 1C has a standard way to share data with external programs (OData), and the database does not need to be modified for it.
One trap: if the agent's user has no rights to part of the data, 1C simply leaves those rows out, with no error. A report on incomplete data looks complete. A good agent first checks what it can see and says plainly what it cannot.

Where to start
You do not need to connect everything at once. One task a week is enough.
- Pick a task you do by hand every month and dislike. Usually that is bank reconciliation or closing documents.
- Grant read-only access to 1C and the bank.
- Run the task in parallel: you as usual, the agent on its own. Compare the results.
- If they match, put the task on a schedule and move on to the next one.
After a month it becomes clear where the time was going and what is worth handing over next.
Will AI replace the accountant
No. But it changes what the accountant's day is spent on.
All the tasks above come down to one thing: gather data from two places and find what does not match. The agent does that faster than a person. Decisions, disputed cases, dealing with the tax office and signing stay with the accountant.
In practice the accountant stops assembling the reconciliation act and starts working through the five lines that did not match. Which professions AI changes, and how, we covered in our study of 100,000 job postings.
How it works in our product
In Samreshuuu every task in this article is a ready-made scenario. The agent connects to 1C, Tochka bank, Diadoc, SBIS, Kontur.Extern, email and Telegram and works with them directly, without exports.
Each task starts by agreeing on the ambiguous parts: which period, which accounts, where leasing goes. And it ends with a control figure and a list of what needs your decision.
Tasks can run on a schedule: a cash summary every morning, incoming documents once a week, bank reconciliation once a month. The agent prepares letters and documents as drafts. Before sending, paying or changing the books it shows a card and waits for confirmation. Every action goes into a log.
All finance and accounting scenarios are on the tasks page.
FAQ
Which AI is best for accountants? It depends on the task. For "how do I record this" questions any chat model or the 1C:ITS consultant will do, but check the answer against the source. For work with your own data — reconciliations, reports, receivables — you need an agent with access to 1C and the bank.
Can I upload a 1C export to ChatGPT? You can, but it is manual work every time. And counterparty and employee data goes to a foreign service. For personal data that is a cross-border transfer, and 152-FZ has separate requirements for it.
Is it safe to give AI access to 1C? Yes, if the rights are set up: a separate user, read-only where writing is not needed, human confirmation before irreversible actions, and a log.
How much does AI for accountants cost? Chat models are free or cost a subscription. The 1C:ITS consultant is included in ITS PROF or costs about 1,400 ₽ a month on its own. Agents are sold by subscription or pay-as-you-go. You can start with us for free.
Can AI make a mistake in a reconciliation? It can. That is why every task needs a control figure and a list of doubtful lines. If an agent returns a result without them, you will have to check all of it.
Does an accountant need to learn prompt writing? No. You give the agent a task in plain words, as you would a new employee: what to do, for which period, what counts as ambiguous.
