Integration scenarios
Channel and video statistics
The agent collects views, subscribers and video count, goes through video metadata and stats and shows what is pulling the channel up.
Comments and replies
The agent reads fresh comment threads under a video, separates real questions from spam and publishes top-level replies.
Playlists and subscriptions
The agent creates a playlist, adds the videos you want to it and subscribes to the channel you decided to follow.
Captions and video breakdown
The agent takes the caption list for a video, downloads the SRT file and breaks down what was said without watching the whole thing.
How to connect
Pick the Google Account that owns a channel
Check your channel list: profile picture on youtube.com → "Settings" → "Account" → "Add or manage channel(s)". An account with no channel can only watch, subscribe and like — uploads, playlists and comments need a channel.
Check your role in YouTube Studio
Open studio.youtube.com → "Settings" → "Permissions". Only the owner and managers can see who has access: if the section will not open, your role is not enough — ask the channel owner.
Move the channel from Brand Account to permissions
If the channel is still managed through a Brand Account, click "Move Permissions" in "Permissions". Existing Brand Account users are copied into the list, but the owner assigns each of them a role manually.
Grant the "Manager" role to whoever will connect
"Permissions" → "Invite" → the Google Account email → role. "Manager" covers everything except deleting the channel; "Viewer" leaves read-only access, so the agent will not be able to touch videos, playlists or comments.
What the agent does in the first 10 minutes
- Pulls channel statistics — views, subscribers, video count — and shows which videos are pulling the channel up
- Reads fresh comments under your videos, separates questions from spam and drafts replies ready to post
- Sends a weekly digest: what was published, how the channel grew and which playlists need refreshing
FAQ
How do I connect YouTube?
By signing in with Google: click the connect button, pick the account that owns the channel in the popup and approve access. Nothing to type in by hand, no keys or tokens needed.
What does the agent see in YouTube?
Your channel and its statistics, videos with metadata and metrics, playlists, comment threads, subscriptions, captions and video categories by region.
Does the agent write to YouTube?
It can: create playlists and add videos to them, publish replies in comments, like videos and subscribe to channels.
What role do I need on the channel?
The Manager role in YouTube Studio, which covers everything except deleting the channel. With the Viewer role the agent can only read.
