Message clients on WhatsApp, Telegram and MAX from your own account
Connect Wappi to the AI agent: WhatsApp, Telegram and MAX of your own account. The agent messages clients, finds unanswered chats and transcribes voice.
How the agent works with Wappi
The agent works with the Wappi HTTP API using your account token. A Wappi profile is your signed-in WhatsApp, Telegram or MAX account, and messages go out in its name, as from the phone. The first thing the agent reads is the list of profiles: that is both a token check and the choice of which messenger to write through.
Sending is either synchronous or through a queue. A single message goes out at once and comes back with its id; a series is queued with a pause between messages, and the agent then checks the outcome of each task instead of taking queueing for delivery.
The agent reads chat lists and the history of a given chat, searches messages by words, downloads files from incoming messages by link and transcribes MAX voice messages. It writes, deletes or changes anything in the account only after your confirmation; signing out of a messenger, paying for a profile from the balance or starting a mass mailing happen only on a direct request.
This is a personal account, not a business API, so the main restriction comes from the messenger: WhatsApp and MAX block an account for messaging strangers and flooding, Telegram temporarily limits sending. The agent writes to people you already talk to, waits out the pause Telegram names, and leaves the webhook address alone when another integration of yours uses it.
Integration scenarios
A message to a client in a messenger
The agent sends a message or a file on WhatsApp, Telegram or MAX by phone number, @username or from the chat list, from your own account rather than a separate business number.
Who is still waiting for a reply
The agent goes through recent chats, reads the correspondence and collects the people whose message is still the last one with no answer.
Search across conversations
The agent finds a WhatsApp message with an invoice, an address or an agreement by its words and shows which chat it was in and when.
Voice messages to text
The agent transcribes a voice message on MAX and retells what the client asked for.
Profile health
The agent checks which profiles are signed in and paid until when, and names the one that dropped before a client is left without an answer.
Sending with a pause
The agent queues several reminders with a random pause between them and checks that each one was delivered.
Wappi examples
How to connect
Before you connect
- A Wappi account with a paid or trial profile
- A WhatsApp, Telegram or MAX account signed in to the profile
- 1
Connect a messenger profile
In your Wappi account create a WhatsApp, Telegram or MAX profile and sign your account in with a QR code or by number. Without it nothing goes out.
- 2
Copy the API token
Open the profile page in your account: the API token is shown there. It is one per Wappi account and opens all of its profiles.
- 3
Paste the token when connecting
When there are several profiles the agent asks which one to write through. The profile id (profile_id) is shown on the profile page next to the token.
FAQ
With the API token. It is shown on the profile page in your Wappi account and opens every profile of the account.
From the messenger account signed in to the Wappi profile: the client sees your regular WhatsApp, Telegram or MAX.
It reads chat history on request. The webhook address for incoming messages is set in your Wappi account: the agent does not change it so as not to switch off another integration.
Not for ordinary correspondence. Accounts are blocked for spam and messaging strangers, so the agent starts a mass mailing only on your direct request and with pauses.
