Integration scenarios

A draft deck from your text

The agent lays your text out across slides — title, key points, conclusions — and returns a link to the assembled deck.

Refreshing the numbers in a deck

The agent updates metrics and captions across every slide of an existing deck at once, without going through them by hand and without breaking the layout.

Filling in a slide template

The agent drops your data into a ready template: it replaces text in placeholders and images, leaving the design of the deck untouched.

A monthly deck on schedule

On a schedule the agent rebuilds the reporting deck with fresh numbers: you approve the template once, and the updates run on their own after that.

How to connect

1

Sign in with the account that owns the decks

Open slides.google.com and check the avatar in the top-right corner: the connection will see decks from this account only. For work presentations sign in with the corporate Google Workspace account, not a personal one.

2

Give that account the “Editor” role

For a deck owned by someone else: the owner opens the presentation → “Share” → adds your address with the “Editor” role. With “Viewer” the agent can only read the slides, not edit text or add new ones.

3

Copy the link to the presentation you need

The deck ID is the part of the link between https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/ and /edit. The requested access does not include Google Drive, so a deck cannot be found by name — the link or that ID is required.

4

Workspace: unblock third-party app access

In a corporate account the sign-in can be blocked by policy. The admin opens “Menu → Security → Access and data control” and allows access under “API controls”, otherwise authorization comes back refused.

What the agent does in the first 10 minutes

  • Builds a draft deck from your text: a title slide plus slides with the key points, and returns a link to the file
  • Updates figures and captions across every slide of an existing deck at once, without manual editing or breaking the layout
  • Rebuilds the monthly deck on a schedule — you approve the template once, then it keeps itself up to date

FAQ

How do I connect Google Slides?

By signing in to your Google account in a separate window: you approve access to presentations, there are no keys to copy. For someone else deck the owner grants that account the Editor role in the sharing settings, otherwise the agent can only read the slides.

What does the agent see in a presentation?

The slides of the deck you link to: text in shapes and tables, images, page design and thumbnails of individual slides. Other presentations in the account are not visible.

Does the agent write to a presentation?

Yes: it adds, duplicates and deletes slides, inserts and replaces text, creates shapes, tables and images, and changes text styles and page backgrounds.

Why does it need a link to the deck?

The access we request does not include Google Drive, so a presentation cannot be found by title. You need a link or the identifier between /presentation/d/ and /edit.
