Connect Google Calendar to the AI agent: calendars, events, attendees and busy time

Connect Google Calendar to the AI agent: calendars, events, attendees and busy time. The agent finds a free slot, books a meeting and sends a schedule summary.

Найди окно на час втроём

Есть одно общее окно: четверг 15:00–16:00.

Проверил занятость по трём календарям — в среду свободен только ты, в пятницу у Марины блок на весь день. Завести встречу с приглашениями на четверг?

Integration scenarios

Your plan for today and tomorrow

The agent walks through the calendars in the account, subscribed team ones included, and tells you what is scheduled today and tomorrow and where the clashes are.

A free slot for a meeting

The agent checks busy time across several calendars at once and finds a free slot of the length you need for everyone involved.

An event with attendees and a place

The agent books a meeting with attendees, location, description and a reminder, and moves it together with the invitations when the time changes.

Morning schedule summary

The agent sends a scheduled summary of the day: how many meetings there are, where they overlap and which hours are still free.

How to connect

1

Sign in to the Google account that holds the calendar

In the account chooser pick the mailbox you actually run your meetings from. Access is granted to that one account: calendars of a second profile, even one open in the same browser, stay invisible.

2

Add the calendars you need to that account

Only calendars on the left-hand list are visible. Subscribe to a team or colleague's calendar in advance: «Other calendars» → «Subscribe to calendar» → the owner's address. Once approved it shows up under «Other calendars».

3

Ask the calendar owner for edit rights

The owner opens «Settings and sharing» → «Shared with» and sets «Make changes to events». With «See only free/busy (hide details)» only busy blocks are visible — no titles — and no event can be created.

4

Workspace domains: clear the block in the Admin console

On a corporate domain the admin checks «Menu» → «Security» → «Access and data control» → «API controls». If Calendar is marked a restricted service and the app is not «Trusted», the authorization window ends with a blocked-app notice.

What the agent does in the first 10 minutes

  • Walks through the account's calendars and tells you what is booked today and tomorrow, subscribed team calendars included
  • Finds a free slot of the length you need and creates the event with guests, location and a reminder
  • Sends a scheduled morning digest: how many meetings today, where they overlap, and which hours are still free

FAQ

How do I connect Google Calendar?

By signing in to your Google account in a separate window: you approve access, there are no keys to copy. Only calendars from that account list are visible, so subscribe to someone else calendar in advance: Other calendars → Subscribe to calendar.

What does the agent see in the calendar?

The list of calendars in the account, events with attendees, location and description, instances of recurring meetings, and busy time across several calendars at once.

Does the agent write to the calendar?

Yes: it creates, moves and deletes events if the owner granted the Make changes to events level. At the free/busy access level only busy time is visible, without titles.

What should I do on a corporate domain?

In Google Workspace the administrator can block third-party apps. The authorization window then ends in a block, and access is opened in the admin console under API controls.
