### A price quote before you ship
The agent calculates the delivery cost and time from the postcode, weight and dimensions before the shipment has even been created.

### Address normalisation
The agent brings addresses from your orders into postal format, splits them into a postcode and components and shows the lines Russian Post did not recognise.

## How to connect

### Create a sender account at otpravka.pochta.ru
Signing up at otpravka.pochta.ru submits an access request and a contract to sign; it takes up to 3 business days. Until it is approved, the account has no keys to copy.

### Copy the app token in «Настройки» → «API» (Settings → API)
Open otpravka.pochta.ru/settings#/api-settings — «Настройки» → «API». The «API токен» field is the app token; the same token is emailed to you at registration. The button next to it issues a new one and retires the old.

### Note the login and password of the account itself
Besides the token you need the otpravka.pochta.ru account login and password. The login is a phone number in +7XXXXXXXXXX format or an e-mail, but e-mail does not always authenticate — the phone is safer. The password is your sign-in one.

### How do I connect Russian Post?
With three values from the otpravka.pochta.ru account: the application token from Settings and then API, plus the login and password of the account itself. The login is more reliable as a phone number in the +7XXXXXXXXXX format. The keys appear once the application and the contract are approved.

### What does the agent see in the account?
Orders and shipments of the otpravka.pochta.ru account, tariff calculations, tracking statuses, address normalisation results and the directory of post offices.

### Does the agent write to Russian Post?
By default the agent calculates, searches and reports in chat. Anything that changes account data is agreed with you and stays within the permissions of your account.

### What about permissions and limits?
The token and login give exactly the permissions the otpravka.pochta.ru account has. Requests go out no faster than 5 per second, so the agent collects large exports in parts.
